Arkansas's Open Carry

Open carry of long guns is allowed in Arkansas. However, a recent law change bans the open carry of handguns. This law was reconfirmed by the state's Attorney General in July 2013, just before Arkansas changed it's law on concealed carry of a hand gun. The law banning open carry is being protested by several groups in Arkansas.

What is Open Carry?

Open carry is the ability to carry a gun in plain view. Some states require a permit to open carry, and some do not, but most have restrictions on where it is legal to open carry.
